Dr. Guida earned his medical degree at Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia and served his residency for general surgery at the Graduate Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and for internal medicine at the Lankanau Hospital.  He completed a residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery-at the New York Eye & Ear Infirmary in New York City before receiving his fellowship training in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at Oregon Health Sciences University.  He is Board Certified by The American Board of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and The American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.  Dr. Guida studied liposuction with Jeffrey Klein, MD, the inventor of tumescent liposuction, and is a member of The American Society of Liposuction Surgery.

Dr. Guida is Clinical Associate Professor at the Weill Medical College of Cornell University and an attending surgeon at Lenox Hill Hospital and the Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital.  He has been in Manhattan in private practice since 1999.  Dr. Guida often appears in the media and has lectured in the United States, Europe, Central and South America on the latest advances in facial cosmetic and reconstructive surgery.
